I don't normally write/advert car boot sales otherwise I'd have nothing but adverts here because as England seems to love them. Last time I went to one it was in France and utterly terrifying due to some ancient ceramic dolls.
However, this is far from that.
This is a car boot sale organised by The Store (Nope me neither) for Women for Women International's #SheInspiresMe campaign taking place in London this weekend. All the proceeds go towards raising money for female survivors of war.
Among the normals clearing out their wardrobes celebrities and designers such as : Alice Temperley, Bay Garnett, Charlotte Olympia Dellal, Hikari Yokoyama, Laura Bailey, Saffron Aldridge, and Zoe Kuipers are also taking part.
“I am so excited about this new concept – it’s going to be a lot of fun and I hope that it will inspire men and women across the country to have a rummage in the back of their wardrobes and hold a car boot of their own in aid of Women for Women International,” said Brita Fernandez Schmidt, Women for Women International UK’s Executive Director.
Alex Eagle, Creative Director of The Store, added, “The Car Boot Sale will be a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy themselves, have fun and shop for an incredible cause. What could be better! Women for Women International is such an inspiring charity empowering women and helping them find independence and self-worth around the world.”
There will be a number of places from London serving healthy juice drinks and a photo booth to document the event. There will also be hair and make up services too!
Entry is £10 on the door and £5 with concession. Open from 11am - 5pm.
